Crizzy Kiss got nominated!

What is the Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award 2015 nomination was giver by Mafambani! I just came home from my trip in Paris when I got the nomination.  She’s a travel blogger and is traveling around the world as a flashpacker, thank you! Wow, it sounded exciting! Who would not want to receive an award? But my question was, what is the Liebster Award? I haven’t heard of it until few days ago too. Well, “this award exists only on the online network, and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. It is a way to be discovered but also to connect and support the blogging community".  It’s a commendable award that bears recognition to us new bloggers.

Liebster Award

Here are the questions for me:

  1. If you could earn money with anything, what would it be?

I heard this term called “Cosmopolitan”. I always thought it was a cool pink drink served in a martini glass, either shaken or stirred. But actually, it had a different meaning, it means “at home all over the world”, or “not limited to just one part of the world”, according to dictionary.com. I guess that is how I see myself a cosmopolite - or “a worldly citizen”. So if in a totally perfect world where one can be free to dream and do what they love to do and still make money, I would travel here, there and everywhere. By the way, that is my title to my blog. 😉

  1. When you travel, what do you buy to treat yourself?

Ever heard the term "a rose, is a rose, is a rose"? It means that no matter how you look at it, a rose is still a rose. That is exactly what I don’t want when I travel. I want the rose not to be a rose, I want it to be different. I travel for many reasons, of which, food is high on the list. There is no better way to experience a new culture than through food. It is one of those things that really excites me when traveling. When it comes to the experience of food, I do like to treat myself.  Feeling a little hungry now 😉

  1. What does a perfect travel day look like for you?

Nice weather with great travel buddy(ies) does wonders to make a travel day perfect.

  1. Postcard or e-mail?

Both. I still send postcards, especially when traveling to places with amazing views. I love to get postcards too, so please send me when you’re on holiday! But for quick updates, there’s nothing like dropping or getting a quick email whenever, wherever your are.

  1. What do you miss most when you're on the road?

I don’t really miss anything when traveling, why would I? I’m there to experience and enjoy the place.

  1. What does your perfect Sunday morning look like and where would you spend it?

A lazy Sunday morning is perfect, especially when waking up to a fresh brewed cup of coffee.

  1. Breakfast or brunch and why?

A good breakfast is always a good start, but if you start late you might as well call breakfast brunch.

  1. What do you read before you go to bed?

I really thought hard trying to answer this question, and I just realized that recently I haven’t been reading books so much before bed anymore. I used to read mystery stories, but recently since I’m learning Norwegian, I read whatever Norwegian books I have. Then, I just close my eyes and poof down to sleep, and magically it's morning again. It works every time.

  1. What's your funniest story from your travels?

Me and five of my friends were catching the “red eye special” at the airport in Oslo. And as soon as I got to the counter my well traveled decrapitated passport decided to disintegrate before my eyes. Though tired, the large fear shocked eyes of my friends, froze me in place when the counter lady said that there was no way that I could travel without a valid passport. Interestingly at 6 am and on a few hours of sleep, a stroke of genius came to me and my friends in the form of a kiosk, 5 meters away, and a 15 kr pack of gum. With a couple of minutes of frantic chewing the gum was just sticky enough to place it behind my passport cover glueing my passport pages together. This was just long enough for me to get my boarding pass and board the plane. Now with a new “tough girl” reputation of problem solving, the next stop was Rome!

10.We should never stop learning. What's the next thing you want to learn?

I’ve always loved the saying “live for today, dream of tomorrow and learn from yesterday”.  I have an inquisitive mind and I try to learn new things every day. But what I really want to learn is advanced web designing and google analytics and some basic coding. I know, I am going nerd!  Don’t tell anyone. 😉

  1. What is home to you? And what do you miss most about it when you're traveling?

Home is where I lay my head. I have many places that I call home now. You know the feeling that there is no place like home. For me there is no place, but anywhere else, than home.

The Catch!

There you go! I hope you enjoy reading my answers. Now this is the catch...
